Description: Ground up 22,000 gross SF new brown stone residence with a commercial space located in the heart of Greenwich Village. The streets and adjacent buildings were shored with rakers and solider piles before 7,400 SF lot is excavated in sequence to -22′ maximum. Underpins and mini piles are installed to secure the foundations. The 4 story superstructure was supported with steel beams and columns. Custom Terra Cotta rear facade and limestone court yard conceals a 13′ above street garden. An underground Cistern rain collection tank and water filtration system and an above roof stand by generator insure the all-weather power and water supply.
